The Central Bank of the Russian Federation has maintained the restriction on withdrawing foreign currency from the account until March 9, 2026

The withdrawal limit affects those citizens who opened a foreign currency account or deposit before March 9, 2022. They can withdraw no more than 10 thousand US dollars or the equivalent in euros, provided that citizens have not previously realized this opportunity. The currency of the deposit or account is unimportant. The balance can still be received in rubles.

Also, banks were banned for another six months from charging citizens a commission when issuing currency from accounts and deposits.

Currency transfers without opening an account and through electronic wallets will continue to be issued in rubles.

Non-resident legal entities will not be able to receive cash in US dollars, euros, pounds sterling, Japanese yen until March 9, 2026.

Resident organizations are also entitled to receive these currencies for business trips according to the regulations. There are no restrictions on other currencies.
