The Ministry of Industry and Trade wants to extend parallel imports to products with trademarks of any kind

The Agency has prepared a draft updated list of goods for parallel import. In comparison with the current list, the registration numbers of the state registration of trademarks will be indicated for most items.

According to the Ministry of Industry and Trade, now the customs authorities are not allowed to produce products with trademarks without letters in parallel import mode. We are talking, for example, about pictorial symbols. Also, in some cases, it is impossible to identify names as trademarks or identify the copyright holder. The innovation will solve these problems.

There are other changes as well. The public discussion of the project will be completed on October 10.

It is planned that the updated list will enter into force in 3 months from the date of publication.
